The Teledyne LeCroy quantumdata family of products provide a variety of solutions for testing HDMI devices and products in automotive industry. The following is a summary of products that provide compliance, functional and interoperability test solutions for HDMI.

  • 980 HDMI Protocol Analyzer module. The 980 HDMI Protocol Analyzer module supports deep analysis of HDMI and MHL streams as well as HDMI and MHL compliance testing for source, sink, repeater/dongle devices. For HDMI the tool provides full visibility into the HDMI protocol, timing, control and auxiliary data up to 300MHz (HDMI) which supports testing of HDMI 2.0 4K Ultra HD sources at 50/60Hz using 4:2:0 pixel encoding. For MHL the module supports analysis of MHL 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 source devices. The modules also supports compliance testing for HDMI and MHL.
  • 980 HDMI 2.0 Video Generator module. The 980 HDMI 2.0 Video Generator module supports video and audio functional testing of HDMI 2.0 sink devices at TMDS characters rates up to 600MHz for testing ultra high definition HDTVs with 4K x 2K resolutions running at 50/60Hz. The 980 HDMI 2.0 Video Generator module also supports HDMI Forum-approved compliance testing for HDMI 2.0 sink tests at pixel rates up to 600MHz. The modules also supports compliance testing for HDMI 2.0 sinks.
  • 980 HDMI 2.0 Protocol Analyzer / Generator module. The 980 HDMI 2.0 Protocol Analyzer / Generator module supports deep analysis and compliance testing of HDMI 2.0 streams up to 600MHz. The module also supports HDMI 2.0 compliance testing for source devices and UHD Alliance compliance testing for ultra high definition sources. For HDMI the tool provides full visibility into the HDMI metadata, timing data, video data, control and auxiliary data up to 600MHz (HDMI) which supports testing of HDMI 2.0 4K Ultra HD sources at 50/60Hz. The module is also equipped with an HDMI 2.0 transmitter port for testing sink devices. Currently the transmitter port offers pass-through monitoring of an HDMI 2.0 video stream between a source and sink, pixel error testing of cables and distribution gear or entire distribution networks in loopback mode and capture and playback where an input stream can be captured, stored and then played back.
  • 780 series Handheld Test Instruments. The 780 series handheld test instruments for HDMI® are portable video and audio generators and HDMI analyzers that offer a rich variety of functional tests for development engineers and test engineers in the R&D environment. The 780 series instruments are equipped with both a reference HDMI source and a reference HDMI sink interface allowing you to test audio, video and HDMI protocols—HDCP, EDID, CEC & infoframes—of any type of HDMI device: sources, repeaters, sinks and cables. Newest 780 models support testing up to 600MHz pixel rate with support for HDCP 2.2/2.3. Earlier models support testing up to 300MHz.

The Teledyne LeCroy quantumdata family of products provide a variety of solutions for testing MHL devices and products in automotive industry. The following is a summary of products that provide functional and interoperability test solutions for MHL.

  • 980 HDMI Protocol Analyzer module. Provides deep visibility into MHL (and HDMI) timing data, metadata, control data and auxiliary data through capture/store functions. The module also provides real time monitoring of these data types for incoming MHL video streams. Functional testing of MHL devices with the 980 HDMI Protocol Analyzer module requires the use of a Quantum Data Test Point Adapter (TPA-MHL2-8R). (The module also supports compliance testing for MHL source and sink devices.) The HDMI Protocol Analyzer module can be equipped in any of the 980 series Advanced Test Platforms.
  • 980 HDMI Video Generator module. Provides video, audio and protocol functional testing for MHL sink devices and source devices through The Teledyne LeCroy quantumdata Test Point Adapter (TPA-MHL2-8R). The HDMI Video Generator module can be equipped in any of the 980 series Advanced Test Platforms.
  • 780 Series Handheld Test Instruments. The 780 series are convenient handheld test instruments for functional testing of MHL products with The Teledyne LeCroy quantumdata Test Point Adapter (TPA-MHL2-8R).
