- Support for future CEC functionality.
- Load GenStats image to verify that revision of video board FPGA is 107 or later. If not, your generator does not support user-installed gateware updates, and must be returned to Quantum Data to install gateware update.
- Install 802BT firmware revision 7.48312100 or later (download). This firmware revision must be installed before updating the gateware.
- Hold down the ACS and DSS keys while starting the generator to initialize the generator. This step is required only if the firmware was not updated in the previous step, because the current version was already installed.
- (Important) Press the Outputs key to turn off all outputs.
- Use HyperTerminal to establish a serial connection with the generator.
- At the R:> prompt, enter the following command increase the baud rate from 2400 to 38400:
MODE 38400
After sending the command, the terminal emulator will lose its connection with the generator,
which is now set at a different baud rate.
- Close the HyperTerminal emulator session, change the baud rate to 38400, and then re-open
the session at 38400.
- At the R:> prompt, enter the YMDI command.

From the Transfer menu, choose Send File.
- In the Send File dialog box, specify the location of the .xsvf file, and set the Protocol field to Ymodem, and click the Send button.
If the R:> returns before the file is sent, enter the YMDI command
and try to send the file again.
On the LCD, the generator displays progress messages while the gateware file is downloaded, which takes about 15 minutes. Do not use your computer while the gateware file is downloading.
The generator displays Wait 15 minutes while the gateware is being installed. Do not restart the generator while the gateware is being installed.
- When Done...Restart the unit is displayed on the LCD, restart the generator.
- Load the GenStats image to verify that the HDMI gateware was updated successfully.
- Corrected YCbCr 4:2:2 output protocol when using double-clocked formats (for example, 480i2x29). The double-clocked format output protocol was wrong when selecting YCbCr 4:2:2 using the DVSM command.
