Test Management Environment (TME) for Release 1.30

Using TME

  1. Download to PC.
  2. Unzip TME and place it into a directory of your choice. Note that the TME does not require that it be run from a certain directory. For Windows users, we also provide a self-extracting executable file for your convenience.

Note: To use serial ports on the TME tool, you must use javacomm20-win32.zip (or a similar version for your platform) and place the library in your Java VM's library path. We provide javacomm20-win32.zip for you in the JavaLibs directory.

  3. To run the TME, Double-click TME.jar

  4. To manually run the TME through a command-line Java runtime, enter:

    java -jar TME.jar

    from the TME's main folder.

Notes:
  1. The TME is run through any platform that can run executable Java JAR files. For Windows machines, this will be set up for you upon installation of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). The TME will be displayed shortly after.
  2. The TME requires a resolution of 800x600 or higher.
  3. The TME requires Java Run Time Environment (JRE) 1.5 or later.
  4. The TME requires Firmware 20.1883600 or later (this is the vxWorks firmware file for Release 2.6).
  5. The TME requires CEC and TME options on the 882CA generator. View GenStats image, verify -CEC and -TME options
are shown. If not, contact Quantum Data for information on upgrading.

Enhancements and anomalies corrected

The following is a list of enhancements to the TME 1.30 and anomalies corrected as part of this release.

  • Added support for devices that can function as both a CEC Switch and another type of device. For example you can now define a device in the CDF that functions both as a CEC Switch and a Audio System.
  • Added support for all additional tests of HDMI-CEC CTS 1.3. Note that 1.2A devices that support 1.3A logical addressing can still be tested.
  • Users can now select the mode that the TME application operates in. This is determined by the "Auto-Step" check box. If enabled (checked) the application will pause only when user interaction is required. If unchecked, the application pauses after each step and requires a user to click on the Step soft key to continue the test.
  • Defining the features through the CDF has been made easier by adding multiple selectable features on each CDF page. The selectable features are grouped by related function.
  • Corrected certain improper mappings of the high level features defined in the CDF to the low level tests.
  • The test sequence has been streamlined to minimize the number of times a user has to make physical connections.
  • The TME report feature now updates in real time. The Reports tab now shows the results for all tests that have been completed. You no longer have to restart the TME to obtain an updated list of test results.
  • Various look and feel enhancements have been made to the TME interface.
