1. Download Sample EDID Files archive from here (updated on December 23, 2009).
2. Unzip the files into a new folder in your PC.
3. Turn on 980 and launch 980 Manager GUI.
4. Connect to a 980 instrument.
5. Click on File -> Set 980 EDID from PC file.
6. Browse to the location of the EDID file you want to apply to the 980 Rx port and select the XML file.
7. When asked if you want to permanently set the 980's EDID or not, clicking on Yes will replace the default 980 EDID so that the newly applied EDID will persist through power cycles. Clicking on No will let you use the newly applied EDID until you power cycle the 980 or apply another EDID.
8. When asked if you want to send hot plug or not, clicking on Yes will send a hot plug from the 980 Rx port after applying the new EDID. Clicking on No will not send a hot plug after applying the new EDID.
