1. Download Sample EDID Files archive from here (updated on October 14, 2011).
2. Unzip the files into a new folder in your PC.
3. Turn on 980 and launch 980 External Manager GUI.
4. Connect to a 980 instrument.
5. Click on File -> Import -> EDID -> Ok, then browse to the location of the EDID file you want to import and select the XML file.
6. Click on Edid -> Set 980 RX EDID, then select the EDID you want to apply to the 980 Rx port. If you check the box next to "Permanently set the 980's EDID?" the default 980 EDID will be replaced with the newly applied EDID, and it will persist through power cycles. If you don't check the box, you can use the newly applied EDID until you power cycle the 980 or apply another EDID. If you check the box next to "Issue Hot Plug?" a hot plug from the 980 Rx port will be sent after the new EDID is applied. If you don't check the box, a hot plug will not be sent after the new EDID is applied.
