Feature Enhancements for 882EDP Release 2.15.0 - vxWorks: 20.1885600

The following features have been added in the Release 2.15.0.

• Added Munsell images
• Gateware files can now be read from PCMCIA/CF card when booting
• HDCP Compliance Test results now written to HTML file after each test is finished.

The following anomalies have been corrected in the Release 2.15.0.

• Removed HDMI PCP selection.
• Eliminated video noise.
• DisplayPort HDCP sink Compliance Test now reflects current link rate.
• Fixed Box250mm's image not available message for DMT0660.
• DisplayPort bit rate and lane settings show even if link training fails.
• DisplayPort low-level settings are now independent of link training status.
• CTS version number added to report headers.
• Can now send idle pattern and disable video on DisplayPort while link is up.
• Show clock regeneration M and N values.
• Can now retrain link on command.
• Added link training debug support.
• Added DPTX:EDID? command to read EDID from a malfunctioning sink.
• Hot plug pulse restarts authentication in HdcpProd image.
• Improved hot plug detection.
• Fixed R/G/B component gating.
• YCbCr to YYY switch now produces correct colors.

The Release 2.15.0 is comprised of the following software components.

Now you can use Quantum Data's new AutoUpdate utility to upgrade your generator firmware and gateware. The AutoUpdate utility automates the process of upgrading firmware. It guides the user through the upgrade process, checking the Quantum Data website for the latest version and installing all files in the correct location on the generator.

You can upgrade your generator using the procedures in the Users Guide. Please note that you will have to verify that your current generator is operating with Release 2.14.0. To verify that your current generator is operating with this release, enter the following command:

verf?

Release 2.14.0 should return the following information:

20.1885400, 01.04.11

After verifying that the generator is operating with Release 2.14.0, upgrade your generator using the procedures below:

1. Download the 2.15.0 Zip file to your PC and unzip the file. There will be a System and a Library directory.
2. Upgrade the generator using "Upgrading without using PC Card" procedure at this link.
   
3. After power cycling the generator, verify that the generator is running the current 2.15.0 version of the vxWorks file by entering the following command:
   
   verf?
   20.1885600, 01.04.11



4. Verify that the vxWorks file is: 20.1885600.
5. Verify that the BootRom version is: 01.04.11.
6. Verify that the generator is running the current 2.15.0 version of the gateware files by entering the following command:
   
   verg?
   451C,8,2202008:451A,15,11162007:451B,14,11162007



7. The gatewares are separated by colons. Verify that the gateware files are: 451C,8,2202008:451A,15,11162007:451B,14,11162007.

• Download DisplayPort OCM firmware ZIP file DP_OCM_2_15_0.zip
• Uzip the files to your PC.
• Use FTP Browser to copy files SafeLite_ISP_I2C_BD_Driver.hex and gm60028BD.hex to the generator's System directory.
• At a command prompt issue the command DPTX:PROG 0.
• This may take several minutes. Watch display and command prompt.
• When complete, power cycle the generator.
• Using FTP Browser, delete file gm60028BD.hex from the generator
• If your generator has a DisplayPort Receive Port, continue with these steps:
  • Use FTP Browser to copy file gm68020BD.hex to the generator's System directory.
  • At a command prompt issue the command DPRX:PROG 0
  • This may take several minutes. Watch display and command prompt.
  • When complete, power cycle the generator.
  • Using FTP Browser, delete file gm68020BD.hex from the generator
