The following features are included in the Release 2.4.0.
Note: The release files can only be applied to the 882D

Note: 882D units with CPLD gateware prior to 400C,4,6062006 do not: 1) support monitoring of the DDC Tx ports with the Auxiliary Channel Analyzer which was part of Release 2.3.0; 2) correct the HDCP authentication transient failures describe below as part of this release. Contact Customer Support for information on how to upgrade these units.
The following anomalies have been corrected as part of this release.
- HDCP authentication failures. Occasionally the HDCP authentication would fail intermittently when connected to a display. These intermittent failures were attributed to "bumps" in the DDC channel. These bumps have been eliminated in this firmware release but also require an upgrade to CPLD version 400C,4. Contact Customer Support for information on how to upgrade these units.
- EDID HDMI compliance tests showed different results related to the basic audio parameter. The results of the on-screen EDID HDMI compliance image and the results reported in the HTML report are now consistent with respect to basic audio.
- Multiple commands on single line was not supported on the CMD terminal utility available through the 882 web server. The CMD terminal utility now enables you to issue multiple commands on a single line such as: FMTL DMT0660; ALLU.
- Hot plug (ReadEDID) performance. The speed to resync of formats with a connected display when ReadEDID is enabled has been improved.
- HDMI audio anomolies. The following internal HDMI audio anomolies have been corrected:
- Excessive noise on audio signal. The audio noise present when I2S is used as the internal audio with higher sampling rates has been corrected when you invoke the sampling rate through the command line with ARAT 192e03; ALLU. Note that the noise is still present when invoking higher sampling rates using the AudioRat image.
- Audio channel assignments with AudioRat image. When sampling rates above 48kHz were invoked the generator no longer changes the number of active channels from 2 to 8.
- The Audio_X image no longer improperly sets the amplitude of the internal audio to -12db.
- Audio parameters queried from the command line now match the values shown on the audio related images.
A test image has been added to test lipsync. This image has several subimages that enable you to vary the interval of a video event and an associated audio event.
A command was added to allow configuring the generator to bypass the hot plug not detected error.
The 882 embedded web server home page has been rearranged so that all the utilities are available on the home page.
