Quantum Data is offering rental of Video Test Instruments in the Domestic United States. Test instruments can be rented on a “month to month” basis, to meet short term needs and tightening budget requirements. The following price sheet describes the product configurations being offered and the monthly rental charges associated with the products. Rental charges can be applied to the purchase of a rented video test instrument on a prorated basis. This provides a way to try out the instrument over time as a rental and then recover a portion of the rental fees when the product is purchased. Contact your Region Manager for more details and to receive a rental contract.

TPA-EAC-4R
The TPA-EAC-4R is a new Test Point Adapter (TPA) that lets you test the HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC) and (or) the Audio Return Channel (ARC) features of HDMI 1.4 capable source and (or) sink devices. When used with the 882EA, you can emulate devices that support HEC and ARC functionality. In this case, the 882EA initiates, interacts with, and monitors CEC bus Capability Discovery and Control (CDC) commands and automatically controls the HEC and ARC circuits of the TPA.
NOTE: Power supply is included, but the Cable Kit (78-00057) is sold separately. The Cable Kit includes a BNC-to-RCA adapter (30-00123), 6-foot HDMI-to-HDMI cable (30-00146), Ethernet crossover cable (30-00151), 1.5-foot HDMI-to-HDMI cable (30-00165), High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet (30-00172), and RCA-to-RCA cable (30-00173).
30-00123, 30-00146, and 30-00151 are included with every 882C, 882CA, 882E, or 882EA. If you just need 30-00172 and/or 30-00173, you can purchase these separately.

HT-180 Handshake Tester for HDMI
The HT-180 assists in trouble- shooting and trouble resolution of HDCP, EDID, hot plug, and +5v related HDMI connection problems between source, sink, and repeater devices. The LCD user interface provides simple error codes to localize HDCP interoperability failures, identify bad EDIDs, indicate improper connection hot plugs, etc. The HT-180 can monitor and collect I2C transactions to be used with the Auxiliary Channel Analyzer for on-site or post analysis of HDMI system problems.
The HT-180 does not monitor CEC transactions and does not provide CEC interoperability testing functions.

780 Handheld Test Instrument for HDMI
780 is a handheld, rechargeable battery powered video test
generator/analyzer. The color touch screen makes the 780 easy and
convenient to use. It supports HDMI 1.3 output and input, single-link
DVI output and input via the HDMI ports, analog component output,
and multichannel digital audio output. HDCP, EDID, and CEC tests
can be run on a sink DUT or repeater DUT’s input. Timing analysis
and audio analysis can be run on a source DUT or repeater DUT’s
output.
Includes Cable Test option that runs pixel error test on an HDMI cable
using pseudo random noise.
