Elgin IL - October 13, 2014 - Quantum Data™, a worldwide provider of video test equipment, today announced an enhancement to their DisplayPort 1.2 Video Generator module for the 980 Series Test Platforms. The module now supports basic analysis of DP 1.2 streams at HBR2 link rates up to 5.4Gb/s.
The analyzer (Rx port) emulates a DP 1.2 sink for testing DP 1.2 source devices. Users can view periodic snapshots of the incoming video as well as view the timing, link training status, and essential video parameters such as the main stream attributes. The analyzer feature can be configured to emulate a variety of DisplayPort EDIDs to test a DP source’s response to commercial EDIDs or other test EDIDs. The Analyzer’s DPCD Editor enables users to view the current DPCD and configure a new DPCD for emulation. Users can view the Aux Channel link training and HDCP transactions as well using the familiar Auxiliary Channel Analyzer utility.
