Offer includes free HT-180 Handshake Tester
Elgin IL - September 05, 2008 - Quantum Data — a worldwide provider of video test equipment, announced an upgrade incentive program for customers who own 882CA units. The incentive program offers customers a free HT-180 Handshake Tester as part of an upgrade to the 882E model with the analyzer option.
The 882E platform is the HDMI 1.3-capable instrument supporting Deep Color, xv.Color and high bit rate audio formats. In addition, the 882E, when equipped with the analyzer, supports an option for the Enhanced version of the HDCP Compliance Test tool that includes an SRM disk for testing key revocation and a new hardware device called the Encryption Status Tester (EST). The EST provides additional control of the TMDS data required for HDCP compliance testing. Our goal is to provide DCP LLC with a version of the HDCP Compliance Test Option that they can approve for use in both ATCs and development laboratories. However, the approval is planned for the 882E and not the 882CA.
The HT-180 Handshake Tester enables users to identify the root cause of HDMI-HDCP, EDID and hot plug-related interoperability problems encountered in both field and lab environments. The new product encapsulates expertise gained through Quantum Data's extensive work in creating HDMI and HDCP compliance test equipment. The HT-180 provides four HDMI ports for passive connection to an HDMI system comprised of two (2) or three (3) devices, typically a source (e.g. set-top-box or disk player), a repeater (e.g. audio/video receiver), and a sink (e.g. an HDTV).
Note that the 882E with the analyzer does not support analog outputs. Contact your Quantum Data distributor or representative for ordering and pricing information.
