Quantum data debuts test for HDCP compliance
Elgin IL — February 9, 2007 — Quantum Data has released a High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) compliance-test option for its Model 882 video test instrument. The 882 series can emulate High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) HDCP sources, sinks, or repeaters, and perform HDCP compliance tests on any source, sink, or repeater in any configuration in the HDCP compliance test specification.
You can run HDCP compliance tests through the 882 front panel buttons. The tests run continuously until completion without requiring user interaction. When the instrument completes a series of tests, it will issue a report that provides detailed pass/fail results for each test. Should a failure occur, the system provides troubleshooting information by giving a visual snapshot of the bus traffic. You can view reports on the instrument, over a network through a browser, or in hard-copy form. You can automate testing through the 882's IEEE 488 or RS-232 ports.
