Embedded Software Engineer

This engineer will be a key member of the software development team creating industry leading test equipment for High Definition Television, computer displays, and other multimedia devices in a collaborative environment. Primary work is development of software for an embedded Linux environment.

Key requirements:
  • 2 to 6 years of experience developing software for embedded platforms in C, C++, scripting languages, and/or Java. Linux or VxWorks experience is desirable.
  • Experience with embedded software concepts including interrupt handling, task switching, and time sensitive processing.
  • Excellent software engineering skills in all phases from concept through maintenance.
  • Helpful knowledge includes work with browser applets, Eclipse, video formats, and Agile development methods.
  • Comfortable working with hardware development engineers and using tools (e.g. emulators, oscilloscopes).
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and good communication skills.
  • BSCS or BSCE degree; MSCS or MSCE is a plus.
