Using the EST for 1A-01 and 1B-01

The EST is a small accessory that is external to the 882E-A. The EST is required to cover STEP TT01 (please refer to 1A-01 test procedure shown in the HDCP CTS 1.1) of 1A-01 and 1B-01. 1A-08 is only applicable if the DUT has an optical drive. Please make sure you are following the procedure below when running the tests with the EST.
  1. Connect 882, EST, source DUT, and sink device as shown in the user guide.
  2. On the 882, press Interface and select HDMI-H.
  3. Press Interface again and select HDMI IN 1.
  4. Press Source and select DMT0660.
  5. Press Options and select RGB.
  6. Press Content and select a non-HDCP image such as Acer1 or Master.
  7. Press Tools -> Reports -> HDCP -> EditPCP, configure the settings, and press ENTER (OPTIONS) to save the settings.
  8. Configure the source DUT to output one of the five allowed timings (see the user guide) in RGB color space.
  9. Press Tools -> Analyzer -> Timing -> Measure to see if the 882 can see the incoming signal from the source DUT. If it says no input signal, then enter the following command in the command line interface:
    QD:PROD:EST
  10. After verifying that the incoming signal can be measured, start the tests.
