882EA HDCP Pre-Test Checklist

Here are some things you need to check before running the HDCP Compliance Test.
  1. Make sure the DUT is outputting one of five allowed timings: 640x480p @ 59.94/60Hz, 720x480p @ 59.94/60Hz, or 720x576p @ 50Hz.
  2. Make sure the DUT is outputting RGB and not YCbCr.
  3. Make sure the DUT, EST, and 882EA are connected properly as described in the user guide.
  4. Make sure timing format DMT0660 is selected on 882EA.
  5. Make sure 882EA is outputting RGB and not YCbCr or xvYCC.
  6. Make sure the PCP parameters for the DUT are configured correctly.
  7. Press Tools -> Analyzer -> Timing -> Measure to see if the 882 can see the incoming signal routed through the EST. If it says no input signal, then enter QD:PROD:EST command to “enable” the EST.
  8. Run the test. We recommend running the tests individually for best reliability of results.
