SOURCE Menu Missing Formats

If you don't see the normal list of formats when you press the SOURCE key, there are a few possible reasons:

A.
The "Empty Directory" message shows up if the EDID Formats mode is enabled but no sink device is connected to the 882. Please press the SINK button and then disable the EDID Formats mode and try pressing the SOURCE button again to see if the list of formats shows up. Or, you can just connect a sink device to the 882 in which case the generator will read the EDID of the sink device and show a list of formats that the sink's EDID claims to support.

B.
The format path might be wrong. To change the format path from the command prompt, use the following command:
FMTP /tffs0/Library/Formats
( /tffs0/Library/Formats is the default format path)
You can check the format path with the following query:
FMTP?

To change the format path from the front panel:
  1. Press and hold the TOOLS key for a few seconds to enter Browse mode (watch the front panel display)
  2. Select the soft key for FlashMem
  3. Select the soft key for Library
  4. Select the soft key for Formats
  5. Select any format that you see listed (this will also change the default format path to this location)
  6. Then press and hold the TOOLS key for a few seconds to go back to Basic mode
  7. Press the SOURCE key and you should see the normal format listing.
C.
If you press the SOURCE key and then press OPTIONS 4 times, you should see “Library” in the display. Press the soft key for Library, and you will see a listing of various format categories. A "+" next to a category indicates that the category will be listed in the menu; a "–" indicates that it’s not listed. You can toggle the selections using the soft keys.
